London-based dance company Yorke Dance Project commissioned Sophia Stoller to create a new work in collaboration with composer Justin Scheid for the company's 20th Anniversary Tour in the UK. Stoller's new work, Between and Within, enters into a tense relationship, exposing the contrasting external and more vulnerable internal responses to being in conflict with a loved one. Ultimately, each individual must look within themselves in order to resolve the conflict between one another. Between and Within is part of a shared programme with works by Robert Cohan, Kenneth MacMillian, and Yolande Yorke-Edgell.
The work premiered in January 2019 and toured across the UK. The tour culminated at the Royal Opera House in May 2019.
